Who we are

Tailor Made Vietnam is an Australian; Southeast Asian based Travel Company that specializes in running educational and special interest tours to Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar and Thailand.

While recreational activities are a very significant element of all Tailor Made Vietnam itineraries, it is special interest activities and the means to organize them, which is our greatest strength. These activities can include visits to national parks, far-flung delta villages and highland provinces, orphanages, remote villages and artists’ studios, schools, foreign embassies and non-government organisations. We also conduct gourmet trips, kayaking, motorbike and cycling tours, itineraries for war veterans as well as boat trips and walking excursions to remote hill tribe regions. All our itineraries include a variety of cultural and recreational activities for travellers of any age, giving our travellers a real insight into this fascinating region.

Our Local Guides and Group Leaders

Your local guide/group leader is probably the person who most influences the success of your trip. Thus Tailor Made Vietnam chooses to employ professionals who have lead groups of people throughout the region for several years. They speak a fluent Asian language and English so you can communicate with the people you meet. Your group leader will also provide you with insights into the country and will guide and assist you constantly ensuring your trip is safe and successful. While there exists a handful of companies who employ western group leaders, Tailor Made Vietnam is the only company to employ Southeast Asian speaking western group leaders, a skill we believe to be essential. The ability of our group leaders to speak the local language provides a more interactive experience for travellers, whilst fostering cultural sensitivity towards, and credibility in the eyes of local people. This is true ‘low impact’ tourism that precedes a deep appreciation of a country’s culture and facilitates a more in-depth and better travel experience.
