Angkor Wat is without doubt one of the greatest archaeological sites in the Southeast Asia if not the world. It awes even the most jaded ruin explorer. Some say is like visiting all the churches of Europe in one spot.

A visit to Cambodia is a challenging experience. Exploring the beauty of what was once the most prominent empire of Southeast Asia, while trying to come to terms with the country’s tragic recent history is confronting to all who visit this beautiful country. These days Cambodia is one of the safest and friendliest countries in Southeast Asia and allows for a fascinating a varied trip for adults and children alike. For adults, the temple of Angkor provide hours of fascination. For the kids, climbing those steep terraces is fun & challenging, whilst elephant rides, cycling, tethered ballooning and boating are all activities which never fail to please our youngest of travellers and their older siblings.

Day 1 Arrive Phnom Penh Your local guide will meet you upon arrival at Phnom Penh airport and transfer you to your centrally located hotel. Following this there will be a brief meeting explaining the days ahead and to answer any questions you might have. Then we set out to explore the city and enjoy our first taste of Cambodia’s wonderful cuisine, picturesque waterfront and afternoon markets.

Day 2 Phnom Penh This morning we will visit some of Phnom Penh's famous sights including the Silver Pagoda and the National Museum. Then we take a trip out to the infamous Toul Sleng Prison and the 'killing fields' – both stark reminders of Cambodia's tragic recent history. Although very confronting, these two places are significant historical sites in Cambodia allowing new generations of travellers to contrast Cambodia’s turbulent past with its brighter and stable present state. After lunch visit the fabulous Russian Market with its strange array of goods on offer including French antiques, traditional Khmer jewellery and copy designer clothes and DVD's, CD’s and software.
