Owing to the varying demands and different requirements of each individual group, our trips are not mundane ‘off the shelf’ itineraries designed for mainstream tourists, but are specifically tailored to the interests of each group. We can also arrange a variety of outdoor activities including cycling, boating and walking or hiking excursions to remote hill tribe regions.
Our tours aim to acquaint our travellers with the local population. Our itineraries allow travellers to become involved in social justice issues and community projects. Such activities may include visits to community projects in far-flung delta villages and provinces; orphanages; remote villages and schools and; non-government organisations.
Group sizes
Our tailor made group tours are designed specifically for existing groups, clubs or organisations that already have the numbers to form a group (minimum 8 travellers). Naturally, the larger the group, the cheaper the cost per traveller. Our trips include provisions for free travel for the travel organiser, based on a group size of 16+ travellers.
U3A (Third Age Travellers)
Our Third Age Traveller holidays are designed especially for U3A members, their friends and families so you’re sure to be travelling with like minded people. We like to think there’s something to appeal to most tastes. Art & Cultural Tours
Southeast Asian is a mecca for lovers of Asian art, in particular ceramic, painting (lacquer ware) and textiles. A typical itinerary would include visits to renowned galleries and studios, as well as special tours and seminars hosted by local curators and artists. Tailor Made Vietnam has hosted trips for photographers and painters in recent years allowing our travellers to fully explore and develop their interests in many of the world’s most inspiring settings.
Walking Tours
Tailor Made Vietnam can arrange for your group any number of walking and hiking itineraries from 5-day hill tribe regions of northern Vietnam staying with minority tribes to half day exploratory tours of some of the region’s most beautiful towns and national parks.

Motorbike trips
Vietnam is the land of the motorbike, and North Vietnam is a motorbike rider’s paradise. For those who want to get ‘off the beaten track’ and visit some of the most breathtaking mountain passes in the world, nothing can beat travelling by motorbike. We will take you to regions famous for their stunning scenery, remote villages and bright and colourful hill tribe markets, many of which are accessible only by motorbike. Whilst we can readily arrange motorbikes for licensed drivers, for non-riders we can happily

Hill Tribe and Traditional Craft / Textile Tours
Vietnam has 54 different ethnic groups, most of which live in the mountainous regions of the Central Highlands and the far north near the Chinese border. Each ethnic group has its own distinctive history, language, religion, appearance, customs and culture.
Highlights to a hill tribe region tour include staying overnight in traditional villages and visiting the bustling Sunday markets where many ethnic groups wear their traditional costume while trading and socialising.
For the astute shoppers, the hill tribe markets are also known for producing and selling artistic handicrafts such as handmade silks, bamboo baskets, wall hangings and silver jewellery. Thailand, Laos, Burma, Cambodia and Vietnam are famous for their quality handicraft and textile villages scattered throughout each country.
Some of the many handicraft centres include pottery, textiles and weaving, and lacquerware.
